Trip To China Is Almost Over
My wife is returning Sunday after 2 weeks in China. Needless to say I’m excited. And the internet has made it much easier for both of us. How? Good question…We used Google talk to talk almost daily!
I have to say the clarity was awesome. I expected some connection problems, or lag time speaking. But that was not the case. It was a clear as talking on a regular phone. And we spent hours talking a couple of times. It sure did make this trip much easier on the missing her part.
The only draw back…arranging our schedules to get together really screwed up my sleep patterns. But it was worth it.
Well have a great weekend.

Dear Window Cleaners
I’m back from China and have to say without a doubt, I missed the USA. I stayed at several hotels, and they all had DIRTY windows. Not just dirty, but really toxic looking pollution, crud and other brown stuff built up on the outside. A co-worker took a picture out her hotel window, and commented how dirty the window were….and that it mucked up the picture. If any of you commercial window cleaners need work, go to China — plenty of dirty windows, and plenty of skyscrapers.
I did have an opportunity to visit some local homes in Shanghai. The windows were also dirty on the outside. It did appear they cleaned the windows on the inside (by hand with a rag - ugh!). Outside, they seem fanatical about sweeping the sidewalk and sweeping the roads, so I don’t know why windows are overlooked? Probably because they don’t have window cleaners that MARKET to the general public.
Now, that’s China….. We’re in the USA, and believe me, we like clean windows. Sometimes Marketing is not just letting your customer know you are the one to call, but it’s also placing the idea in their head in the first place that hey, clean windows would make my house sparkle. You remember that old adage, ‘her house was so clean you could eat off her floors’? Well, that’s true with most homes (I hope), but they often forget about the windows (again that old adage ‘I don’t do windows’ comes to mind).
So, get out there with the message — CLEAN WINDOWS DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR OVERALL HOME’S CLEANLINESS AND FAMILIES WELL BEING. We’re all being pushed to “go green” — so getting your windows clean is GREEN. You should all be using environmentally friendly products (not just to protect your client’s home but to protect yourself too). Clean windows allow the sun to shine thru, and natural sunlight plays a major role in overall health (you can google ‘benefits of natural sun light’ and find several sources). Last but not least, your windows are porous, so why would you want contaminates to build up onto your window (oxidations, dirt, hard water from sprinklers, pollutants from rain water)?
My point is, your message for why and what benefit you need your windows cleaned is important…..
Good luck and good window cleaning.
